For the second time in history, the Miami Grand Prix will be run this weekend.
With the stars expected to once again be on show in the stands up and down the track, Red Bull’s Sergio Perez will be looking continue his fine form after taking the chequered flag last time out in Azerbaijan.
But his teammate Max Verstappen will be hoping to return to winning ways and will be aiming to make it back-to-back wins on this circuit which runs in the shadows of Hard Rock Stadium.

Five interesting facts about the Miami Grand Prix
- Before last year’s Miami Grand Prix, the sport had previously raced once before in Florida in Sebring back in 1959.
- When it was moved onto the calendar for 2022, the Miami Grand Prix was licensed for ten years meaning that after this year’s race, they’ll be another eight at minimum.
- Miami is the 11th different location in the USA that has hosted a Formula One race.
- During the planning phase, there were reportedly 75 different track designs made for the Miami Grand Prix.
- When it was introduced to the calendar last year, Miami became the 77th different track used for a Formula One race.

F1 2023 Miami Grand Prix ticket prices, availability
Due to its location and the fact that it’s still a new track, the Miami Grand Prix is one of the most sought-after races on the calendar in terms of ticketing.
As a result, there are only a few tickets remaining for purchase on the official F1 website.
The cheapest of those currently clocks in at $877 (£703) for a three-day ticket (Friday-Sunday) in the Marina Central Grandstand.
Fans can also buy tickets in the Turn 1 East Grandstand and Turn 18 Grandstand for slightly more money, whilst tickets for the Turn 18 MIA Hospitality Village & Club are still available. Those hospitality tickets will set you back around €5500 (£4400).

Odds for the 2023 Miami Grand Prix
Just like in the four previous races of the 2023 F1 season, Max Verstappen has been made heavy favourite to win the 2023 Miami Grand Prix.
That said, Sergio Perez has severely closed the gap odds wise in comparison to recent weeks as the Mexican driver completed a famous double race win in Azerbaijan during both the F1 Sprint and subsequent Grand Prix.
Charles Leclerc comes in as the third favourite to win in Miami – a track where he picked up pole position last season – after he picked up a podium finish last time out in Baku.
The Ferrari driver is followed by Fernando Alonso, Lewis Hamilton, George Russell and Carlos Sainz on the odds list.

Who won the 2022 Miami Grand Prix?
During the first running of the Miami Grand Prix back in 2022, it was current World Drivers’ Champion Max Verstappen who took the chequered flag.
Despite starting the race in P3 after being out qualified by Ferrari pair Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz, the Dutchman roared back to win Sunday’s race by 3.7 seconds.
Following that race, Verstappen would go on to win the Spanish Grand Prix which was next up on the calendar before finishing the season with 454 points – the most ever recorded in a single season of F1.

At present, reports suggest that we could be in for a potential mix-and-match when it comes to the weather for the 2023 Miami Grand Prix.
Although it looks like Friday’s practice sessions and Sunday’s race should see dry weather, qualifying on the Saturday could be hit by rain.
