3:01 p.m. — Brace yourselves, folks. It sounds like Aaron Rodgers is going to be a Jet. Trey Wingo reports that the deal between the two sides is done; he broke the news about the Jets contingent visiting Rodgers in California, so it looks like Rodgers will follow the Brett Favre model as his career continues. 2:59 p.m. — The Vikings are adding another tight end to the mix. Josh Oliver has agreed to a three-year, $21 million contract with the team. He has just 26 career receptions for 230 yards and two touchdowns, but he is one of the best blocking tight ends in the league. Thus, the solid pay day.

2:53 p.m. — Germaine Pratt will remain a Bengal. The veteran linebacker, who has become a do-it-all threat for the team, has agreed to a three-year, $21 million contract extension to remain in Cincinnati.

Ironically, Pratt had been visibly upset after the Bengals’ AFC championship game loss to the Chiefs and appeared to say he was mad because it was his “last year” with the Bengals. But he was able to reach a deal to remain in Cincinnati.

2:43 p.m. — A couple more signings from Pelissero:

• The Patriots are keeping linebacker Raekwon McMillan on a one-year deal worth up to $2.2 million (base value $1.6 million).
• The Commanders are keeping cornerback Danny Johnson on a two-year deal worth $7 million with $2.75 million in guarantees.

2:42 p.m. — Minor update from earlier: the Chargers re-signed Easton Stick to serve as the team’s backup quarterback. He will make $1.8 million on a one-year deal, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

2:40 p.m. — Lots of punter news in the NFL today, as Bradley Pinion is re-signing with the Falcons on a three-year deal worth $8.65 million. Pinion averaged 45.9 yards per punt last season.

2:16 p.m. — The Chiefs are adding a new tackle to the mix after losing Andrew Wylie. Jaguars tackle Jawaan Taylor is signing an $80 million deal with Kansas City, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter. The 2019 second-round pick will make a whopping $60 million guaranteed.

2:07 p.m. — The Texans have made a couple of key signings for the 2023 NFL season. They added Chase Winovich to the defense while long-time sports reporter John McClain reports that Houston will bring back Case Keenum as a backup on a two-year deal. Keenum began his career with the Texans after starting at the University of Houston.

The Texans have agreed to sign Case Keenum to a two-year contract as their backup QB behind the second overall pick in the draft. The deal can’t become official until the start of free agency on Wednesday.

2:01 p.m. — The Commanders have a new starting right tackle. Andrew Wylie has signed a three-year deal worth up to $24 million to play in Washington. Eric Bieniemy coached him with the Chiefs and should know him well. It’s also noteworthy that Kansas City’s other free-agent tackle, Orlando Brown Jr., hasn’t yet signed anywhere.

1:59 p.m. — One of the available Connor McGoverns has signed in free agency. This McGovern plays for the Cowboys and was a top sub on the interior offensive line last year. He could be a starter with the Bills, who are giving him just under $8 million in AAV.

1:58 p.m. — Mike White has found a new home. He will be joining Mike McDaniel and the Dolphins as a backup to Tua Tagovailoa. McDaniel worked with former Jets offensive coordinator Mike LaFleur in San Francisco, so this may have influenced his decision in signing the journeyman.

1:53 p.m. — Garoppolo’s deal with the Raiders is confirmed, per ESPN, and Adam Schefter reports that the veteran quarterback will make $67.5 million over three years. That’s good for an AAV of $22.5 million.

1:29 p.m. — The Commanders are on the board and are signing Giants offensive lineman Nick Gates to help their blocking unit. Gates is a valuable super-sub who has played every position during his NFL career. He could end up being the sixth offensive lineman for the Commanders.

1:22 p.m. — The Broncos are fixing their longstanding issues at right tackle. They are signing Mike McGlinchey away from the 49ers, per ESPN’s Dianna Russini. McGlinchey was PFF’s 35th-ranked tackle out of 81 eligible players at the position.

NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that McGlinchey’s deal with the Broncos will be worth $87.5 million over five seasons. He will also get $50 million in guarantees.

1:19 p.m. — Javon Hargrave is staying in the NFC, but he will no longer play for the Eagles. He agreed to a four-year, $84 million contract with the 49ers after he helped Philadelphia reach the Super Bowl in 2023. Hargrave had 11.5 sacks last year but turned 30 on eve of the Super Bowl.

1:16 p.m. — Speaking of the Buccaneers, they are not the only team pursuing Baker Mayfield. Pelissero reports that “several other teams” are expressing an interest in Mayfield. It will be interesting to see whether he can agree to a deal out of the chute or whether the likes of Jimmy Garoppolo et. al. will have to be signed first.

1:15 p.m. — Shaq Mason’s time with the Buccaneers appears to be coming to an end. Tampa Bay plans to release the veteran if they can’t trade him, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. Moving off Mason would save the team $8.5 million.

Former Raiders and Patriots quarterback Jarrett Stidham is joining Denver on a two-year deal worth $10 million. Rapoport reports that Stidham’s relationship with new Broncos quarterback coach Davis Webb is part of what convinced him to become Russell Wilson’s backup.

12:59 p.m. — The versatile Andrew Beck is leaving the Broncos and joining the Texans on a two-year deal worth up to $6.75 million. Beck initially signed with the Patriots as an undrafted free agent in 2019, when Texans general manager Nick Caserio was running the show in New England.

12:58 p.m. — David Onyemata is joining the Falcons. The veteran defensive tackle will reunite with Ryan Nielsen, who is Atlanta’s defensive coordinator, after spending the first seven years of his career with the Saints.

12:56 p.m. — The Packers are making another non-Aaron-Rodgers-related move. They have signed All-Pro returner Keisean Nixon to a one-year deal worth up to $6 million. Nixon averaged 28.8 yards per kick return and led the league in total returns (35), total yards (1,009) and had a 105-yard touchdown on the season.

Powers graded as Pro Football Focus’ second-best pass-blocking guard during the 2022 NFL season behind only Joe Thuney.

He took to Twitter so say that he “ain’t f—ing done yet” with his NFL career. He did not say whether he would return to Philadelphia, but he has played his whole career with the Eagles.

12:38 p.m. — Well, hold on there on Campbell — the Ravens could actually bring him back if they get cap relief, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. However, that would involve moving Lamar Jackson in a trade or losing him to another team via an offer sheet.

12:27 p.m. — With Austin Ekeler requesting a trade, it’s important to note that he has just $6.25 million left on his contract, which expires after the 2023 season. The 27-year-old has exactly 1,200 career touches during the regular season.

12:23 p.m. — As Mike Garafolo notes, the Bears may be in on several former Eagles. Why? Because Chicago’s new assistant general manager, Ian Cunningham, used to be a member of Philadelphia’s front office. Specifically, Garafolo believes that the Eagles could target Isaac Seumalo to join T.J. Edwards.

He is the best quarterback remaining unsigned, so it makes sense that he would have high-end demands.

11:01 a.m. — The Bengals have signed Michael Thomas to a one-year contract extension. No, not that Michael Thomas; this one is a backup safety and special teams standout. The 32-year-old has been with the Bengals since 2021 and is entering his 10th NFL season.

10:34 a.m. — Jamie Gillan isn’t the only punter to re-sign today. The Bills are bringing Sam Martin back on a three-year deal worth $7.5 million, per NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo. Buffalo originally picked up Martin after he was cut by the Broncos before the 2022 NFL season, and he averaged 47.7 yards per punt during the season.

NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reports that he is reworking his contract to provide the Bills with cap relief. He could now make more than he was scheduled to in 2023 thanks to some contract incentives.

They have restructured Deshaun Watson’s contract to free up a whopping $36 million in cap space, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. That will give Cleveland roughly $22 million in cap space ahead of free agency, per OverTheCap.com.

7:28 a.m. — The Baker Mayfield to the Buccaneers rumors are starting to heat up. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports that Mayfield is at the top of Tampa Bay’s list as it looks for a cheap, veteran quarterback to compete with Kyle Trask.

Titans cannot release OLB Bud Dupree until the start of the league year, March 15, due to his remaining guaranteed salary. But they plan to release him then. The move will save the Titans $9.35 million against their cap.

Rapoport reported that the Texans, Panthers and Raiders are all likely to have an interest in signing Garoppolo as he hits free agency.

Garoppolo has a history with Raiders coach Josh McDaniels from their time together in New England. He also worked with current Texans coach DeMeco Ryans during their time together in San Francisco, while Houston general manager Nick Caserio used to work for the Patriots.

The only team without an obvious connection to Garoppolo is the Panthers. Even still, he makes sense for them considering that the team would like to add a veteran upgrade at quarterback.
